LVN

Do you know what it takes to become a nurse, and what nurses do? What if I can’t handle the site of blood? What types of programs are there? These are probably some of the questions you may have if you are thinking about becoming a nurse.
Becoming a nurse can be a rewarding career choice and can be very fulfilling. To become a nurse, whether a licensed practical nurse (LPN) or a licensed vocational nurse (LVN), you can attend an online nursing college, or a school that offers a diploma in licensed practical nursing. You can earn this type of diploma in about one year. The training in these programs gives you hands on experience in a hospital, allowing you to see the day-to-day tasks as a nurse.
You will have some course work to do throughout the program as well though. When you have completed your training and have received your diploma, you can then assist registered nurses (R.N.) and doctors, and help provide some care for patients. If you don’t mind going to school for about two years, you can get an associate degree in nursing (A.D.N.).
For those who decide to go this route will have longer class hours, and more medical classes. The will also be able to pick classes that specialize in different nursing areas, such as geriatric, surgical, or pediatric nurses. Also, having an A.D.N. you will be able to directly help patients as well as helping doctors and R.N.s. for more information visit lvn
